Welcome to Workshop

Dear Member,

Welcome to the Workshop! We try our best to offer you the best possible service and hope that your child is happy and stimulated at all times. Please take the time to read our following club rules and consent form so that we may continue to provide a quality service; -

All children must be paid for in monthly blocks. Payments are due for gymnasts on the first week of every month, payments can be made by cash or card reader. Our 1-hour classes and Advanced classes are paid by direct debit and details will be sent following your child’s first session. Unfortunately, we don’t accept cheques or credit cards. Should your child not attend the fee will be fortified as rent hire and coaches fees are to be met. This will guarantee your child a space in the class. A club membership fee of £15 is to be paid immediately and then annually each September.

All children MUST BE MEMERS OF BRITISH GYMNASTICS and therefore the membership fee must be paid direct to British Gymnastics by registering online on the British Gymnastics Website, this includes the membership to British Gymnastics and personal accident insurance for each individual child. This is compulsory for every child that attends the gymnastics club. The fee is £22.00 for the non-competitive over 5’s and £15.00 for the under 5’s per annum which runs 1 October to 1 October each year.

Unfortunately, we cannot allow parents in the gymnasium for health and safety reasons.

Please note at break times and lunch times children may be unsupervised and therefore left at their own risk.

The children are working towards our new RISE gymnastics awards, starting from RISE explore 1 – 4, you will receive a slip advising you of badges and certificates which your child has passed on a regular basis. Once your child has passed badge RISE EXPLORE 1-4, we advise they move up into a 3-hour group where they will then work through our RISE EXCEL.

All British Gymnastics members once insured will have their own log in portal in which they can check their child’s progress.

Our coaches are British Gymnastic qualified at the appropriate level and have been screened for their suitability to work with children.

Suitable clothing is required by the gymnast for their safety, please see our dress code found on our website.

Our club Leotard is available to purchase at reception, please check sizes and prices from the notice board.

The club has adopted the BG policies for health and safety, Safeguarding and Codes of Conduct for all officials, coaches, gymnasts and parents and must be adhered to at all times. By continuing membership with Sheffield Workshop, you are agreeing to the parents/gymnast Code of Conduct. Please read our Policies, Codes of Conduct and Privacy notice which is on our webpage.

Physical contact will be required, and only appropriate, non-invasive techniques will be used.

If a gymnast or parent has any concerns they should raise concerns with Welfare Officer. (Details can be found through complaints policy on our website.)

CCTV is in operation in reception for safety and security purposes.
